Workbench KajArnold Design by kajkai Workbench KajArnold Design by kajkai
My own designed modern wooden workbench that I made in my school. Made of birch and mahogany... Also called the CLAW-bench :D

Okay so the design is amazing
I would love to have a workbench like that!
But Birch and Mahogany? I would rather use Beech and Oak... a workbench needs to withstand all the working that's going on on it!
But oh well, your own decision I guess! :P
The form would do the one who's working some good I guess, it's more comfortable I could imagine.
Well done!

Could you tell a little more about this workbench, please.
Maybe You have more photos оf this WORK. I am Interested in the process of gluing the top of bench.

I showed a photograph of your work to my students,

and one of them wanted to do something similar for our workshop.

I would be very grateful to you for your assistance!!!

I like how the bench wraps around you while working at it; I designed one with a similar feature for my own crafting (as of yet has not been made)

awesome...stunning. But you should maybe consider adding some "sticks" on the clamp on the other side of the table too, it allows you to work around your artwork without unscrewing and changing its position all the time. But again, simply stunning!

Where did you get the "metal attachments" for the wooden vices or what's it's called in English? :J

I'm not all that into woodworking, but this is quite artistic. I'd put it into my living room, if I could just figure out a use for the vices.

How many hours did it took to finish the designed workbench you've made? It's nice to see some woodworking furniture that isn't ordinary.

Yeah,, the traditional way isn´t allways the right :D The main design for the bench I came up with quite quickly but then the joints and other estetical matters took awhile to figure out,, I made this bench on the side of my other works, so I cant really estimate any time,, Maybe, alltogether 3-5 weeks,, Mainly I planned it at the same time I built it,, it was more of an extra project of mine,, :D
