A cabinet I had to make to get masterdegree in our school in Jurva, Southern Ostrobotnia. 6 weeks of work and its made of iroco and wenge. Tabletop marquetry is made of multiple different woods.
It only took six weeks?! It looks like a years worth of effort was put into it with all those details. That thing is amazing.
Hope you got the best mark they could give! Looks soooo awesome.
Stunning! Well deserved DD!
You are remarkable!! I am in love with the honey tones....gorgeous!! This is the type of piece that you purchase and decorate around it.... A statement of elegance.
Wow that is phenomenal! Awesome job!
OH. MY GOD. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. D: Wow~... ^^~<3
That is...wow! Breathtakingly beautiful!! My father took pride in, and has a love of, woodwork. Most of the pieces in our home were made by him! Just...nothing that ornate! I'll have to show him these, he will LOVE them (and probably go tinker in his workshop for a bit!)! Congratulations on a well deserved DD!
That is a thing of beauty and I am very sure you got your degree with this amazing piece of work!!!
It is breathtaking!
That is simply gorgeous! Wow!
Unreal... congratulations on the well deserved DD!
So much detail and intricacy in every part of the design that I am just baffled at its creation. A great example of wood art.
truly a work of art ,your heart is in every detail
Craftmanship like this is lost in the West!!
when i'm in my own home- i know where i'll be getting my furniture from!
Congratulation to the well deserved DD!
Its very beautiful!
this is awesome!
Having tried a little cabinet making myself, I take my hat off to you sir! This is a masterpiece indeed. You didn't make it easy for yourself, did you? Curved panels, matched hand-carvings and that beautiful marquetry in that just-over-half circle. I'm surprised you managed all the carving in 6 weeks, let alone all the finishing work. It is difficult to tell from the photo, but I bet if I were to run my hand over any part it would be perfectly flat and silky smooth. Congratulations.
Thank you very much! There was alot of sanding on the top to get the wood pieces smooth indeed.
Provides a sense of reverence and awe. Well done.
As someone who is just starting to enter the world of woodworking, I am absolutely amazed at the level of craftsmanship displayed here. Absolutely incredible.
